Alan R. Goldberg
Sr. Consultant/Chief Connecting Officer/Founder Fran-LINK Franchise Advisory & Consulting Group
Alan Goldberg is a business builder, coach, and dynamic speaker. As a Franchise Consultant to Fran-LINK Franchise Advisory & Consulting Group, Alan works with executives in transition from the corporate world, entrepreneurs, newly minted MBA’s and career-switchers looking to re-boot and spin their careers in new directions.
He advises on the benefits of entrepreneurship and helps individuals interested in business ownership navigate the constellation of opportunities to identify businesses that match their skill set, interests, business objectives and financial resources. Alan also advises small business owners looking to scale employ franchising as a growth strategy.
After more than 25 years in corporate holding senior-level marketing management roles at advertising agencies Grey Advertising, DDB Needham World Wide, and BBDO International; and, in Senior Sales/Business Development roles at media giants Gannett and Meredith Publishing, Alan shifted his focus to the nation’s small business marketplace. He became a principal in a specialty finance company providing capital to early-stage companies, and start-ups. In his role working closely with small business owners, Alan saw an abundance of raw talent and ambition; but, a dearth of systems and processes to make these businesses successful. It was this gap that sparked
his interest in franchising as a way to lower risk by leveraging a proven business model as a blueprint for success.
Alan hosts business ownership workshops and seminars at outplacement centers, women’s career groups, university alumni groups, and speaks frequently at Entrepreneur programs at Columbia, Lehman, Baruch, PACE and NYU.
